I missed my delivery but lost the ‘Something for you’ card

If you missed a delivery but lost the red ‘Something for you’ card you can still arrange a redelivery to either your home or an alternative local address. For security reasons, without the card you can’t collect the item from your local Customer Service Point or Post Office Counter.

To arrange a Redelivery online you’ll need to know the details of the delivery, including the name on the item, address, date the card was left and, if you have it, the item number.

My mail’s been sent with an incomplete or invalid address - how do I get a 'Something for you' card?

If there’s an issue with the address on an item it will be returned to the sender. It won’t be held at your Customer Service Point, so you won’t be able to collect it. We recommend contacting the sender to let them know it will be returned and the address was incorrect.

I have a tracking reference that shows Royal Mail attempted delivery but didn’t leave a card

It’s possible that the item may have been labelled with a different address to what you expect. We’d recommend you contact the sender directly to check the address.

I’ve received a card showing my address but not my name?

We deliver to the address on letters and parcels, rather than to the name. The details shown on the 'Something for you' card will match those shown on the item. That could mean someone has addressed their mail incorrectly to your property. If you’ve received a card to your address, but a different name, you don’t need to do anything. Simply dispose of the card. Once our retention period elapses, the mail will automatically be sent back to the sender.
